The Automobile Air-conditioning driers are designed to protect the mobile refrigeration system from liquid and solid contamination and controlling system moisture level. They incorporate a special grade of molecular sieves XH 9 that provides the critical performance properties that the automotive industry has come to expect from desiccants.

The need for a new product became clear when test data showed that the desiccant used in CFC 12 automotive a/c system chemically reacted with HFC 134a. Desiccant XH 9 is superior in hydrated attrition resistance and complies with the industries new specification for the critical property. Automotive drier with this new desiccant are suitable for a great number of original equipments and retrofit refrigerants, old and new. Drier are recommended for original equipments use with CFC 12and HFC- 134a. It is also recommended for use in a HFC 134a retrofit of CFC 12 System and also recommended for use with HCFC 22, 124, HFC-125, 143a and HFC 152a and its blends.

Special Features

1) Right desiccant, location and amount: Molecular sieves XH 9 grades are used in our entire drier and desiccant amount varies between system manufactures from over 240gms to less than 40 grams range.

2) The desiccant positioning is done at the right position so that there is no by- passing of refrigerant and in two style, one is Tea Bag and second is Compacted Bead style (spring loaded) in a plastic containers with non-woven filter fabric at both ends.

3) In both the style desiccants are held firmly and there is no movement of loose bead and hence no pressure differential problem and no dust formation which can plug the inlet of the expansion valve.

Other Important Features

• Atmosphere controlled flux less brazing done on press fit components in oxygen free atmosphere avoiding oxidization and giving bright effect to all components. This also give the components high burst strength and is very much compatible with new refrigerants and lubricants.
• Rugged steel shells and deep drawn cups for high burst pressure strength in case of steel drier and impact extruded can for aluminum driers.
• High heat resistance plastic used for internal perforated cup and all other internal components are plated steel.
• Co2 mig welding done with Co2 gas incase of steel drier. Continuous Tig welding done with pure Argon gas on Aluminum drier, which gives uniform bead size and high burst pressure strength.
• Three stage leak testing done with dry N2 a) before assembly on furnace brazed components b) after welding and c) after painting.
• driers are available with Fused Sight Glass Technology.
• Corrosion resistant oven baked paint done on rugged steel shell after proper cleaning, treating and drying for high salt spray rating and can be used in all environments and adverse condition.
• driers are available in vide range of connections like Flare, Female flare, Pad fitting, ‘O’ring and Female ‘O’ring fitting in international standard sizes.
• LP/HP switch provision, Fusible plug, High-pressure relief valve available as per manufactures design and specification.
• All steel driers are N2 gas charged which is higher than atmosphere pressure this prevents moisture from entering the drier in storage and presence of pressure also confirms no leaks in particular piece at the time of fitting.
• can engineer custom made receiver drier and accumulator as per manufactures specification and at the same time can be direct replacement for popular competitive models.
